The story
Expert level. Incomplete information, lying witnesses and a single accusation. For adults.
Madrid, 14 March 1979. At 7:10 in the morning, the concierge at number 22 Calle del Pez finds Marcos Ferrer, aged 38, dead in the bathroom of his flat. The gas water heater is on and there are rolled-up towels under the door. The duty judge talks of suicide.
Ferrer had spent two years preparing “The Midnight File”, a report on an extortion ring inside the police itself. It was due out on Sunday. His notes and the tape with the recordings have disappeared.
Six people were with him or near him that night. Some are lying to protect themselves; one is lying because they killed him. Don't trust any statement without checking it. And choose carefully: there's only one accusation.
