How to play
A real investigation, split across several screens
Enigma Oculto turns every phone or computer into an investigation desk. Whatever one person finds, the others see instantly, and the big decisions are made together.
First time?
Learn to play in 10 minutes
Case 0, free: look around, pick up, combine, open locks and deduce. Solo or in a group, no account.
- 01
Choose the case
Each case page tells you how many can play, how long it lasts and how demanding it is.
- 02
Create the room
Whoever creates it gets a six-character code. Share it on WhatsApp, out loud or stuck on the fridge.
- 03
Investigate
Search places, question people, open locks, take notes in the shared notebook and argue in the chat.
- 04
Solve it
Vote on the accusation or open the last lock. The fewer actions, the more points and the better your rank.
Three ways to play
For those who love to think
Deduction
A crime, several suspects and a night to reconstruct. Every action counts: the fewer you need, the better.
- ◆Search places: each one holds one or more clues.
- ◆Question people: statements change when you show up with evidence.
- ◆Accuse together (culprit, method, motive…) with just a couple of attempts.
For those who can't sit still
Escape room
You move together from scene to scene with a shared backpack. There are locks, mechanisms and objects that only work combined.
- ◆Pick up objects and combine them in the backpack.
- ◆Codes, sequences, selections and matching.
- ◆At higher levels, the clock is against you.
For groups and teams
Split information
When you start, the game hands out roles: each player gets documents the others can't see. You win by communicating.
- ◆From 2 to 15 players: with many, teams form around each role.
- ◆Clues that only one specific role can read.
- ◆Ideal for team building, remote or in the office.
Five difficulty levels
The level isn't just how hard it is to deduce: it also changes the rules. Higher up there are fewer hints, a clock and fewer attempts.
| Level | Hints | Time | Accusation | For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Beginner | Unlimited | No clock | 2 attempts, with hints on how much you got right | First game, families |
| Easy-going | Unlimited | No clock | 2 attempts, with hints | Groups with little experience |
| Challenging | 5 | Optional | 2 attempts, right or wrong | Enthusiasts |
| Expert | 3 | Required | 2 attempts, right or wrong, evidence required | Seasoned groups |
| Master | 1 | Required | Just one, evidence required | Those who've played everything |
House tips
Split the ground
Have each person take a place or a suspect and report back in the chat.
Distrust the obvious
From level 3 on there are false clues and witnesses who lie.
Build a timeline
In deduction cases, knowing who was where and when solves half of it.
Use the notebook
Cross out suspects and weapons in the team notebook: everyone sees everyone's marks.
Don't accuse in desperation
Attempts are few. A hint costs less than a failed accusation.
Talk, talk, talk
In split information, what isn't said doesn't exist.
