Frequently asked questions
What people ask us most before (and after) their first game.
Before playing
Do I need to sign up?
No. A name for the game is enough. An account is optional and lets you keep your history and badges and have friends.
How much does it cost?
Some cases are free forever. The rest come with the Detective or Premium plans, or with an event pass for large groups.
What do I need?
A phone, tablet or computer with a browser per person. There's nothing to install.
Can we play in the same room?
Yes, and that's the most fun way: each with their own screen, arguing out loud. It also works remotely, with the room chat or your own video call.
How many of us can play?
It depends on the case: from 1 to 15 people. Each case page shows the minimum and maximum.
Are the cases in English?
We're translating them. Cases that are only available in Spanish for now are marked as such in the catalogue.
During the game
What if someone disconnects?
The game goes on. When they come back with the same link, they'll see everything as it is. If they were the host, the role passes to another player.
Can we ask for hints?
Yes, they're put to a group vote. Depending on the level there are more or fewer, and they cost actions or points.
Can we stop and continue another day?
Games with no activity close after 24 hours. If the case has a clock, time keeps running.
What is competitive mode?
In deduction cases, the host can turn it on: everyone investigates on their own and whoever makes the right accusation first wins.
Accounts and privacy
What data do you keep?
The minimum: the name you choose for each room and, if you create an account, your email and nickname. All the details are in the privacy policy.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, from “My account”, at any time. In shared games you'll appear as “Deleted player”.
Is there chat with strangers?
No. You can only join a room with its code, and the host can mute and kick people out.
